The Friends of the Snake River is currently being organized by landowners,  hunters, canoeists and fishermen from northern Kanabec County--the area east of Woodland.  This organization has been prompted by the serious threat of motorized vehicle trail development on state lands immediately adjacent to the pristine waters of the Snake River. The intent is to organize to defend the natural resources of the Snake River and its watershed.
